Sometimes Sunny Seaside

Though not always sunny, Seaside was blissful and just what we needed. My neighbors had kindly offered their beach house in Seaside, Oregon to us for a few days in between our time with family. It was lovely! Nestled in a peaceful neighborhood just two blocks from the promenade, we ditched the car and used the bikes they left us and our rollerblades to make our way around town. We went to the local aquarium one day and fed the seals, and saw Victor, the 28 pound lobster. Sadly, someone had tried to steal him, but they were caught in the act and dropped Victor in surprise. He cracked his shell during the fall and died shortly after. Poor Victor.We purused the local shops (and even did a bit of Christmas shopping), stopped in cafes for wi-fi and drinks, watched the sunset on the beach, started a puzzle, and enjoyed the local cuisine. It was a lovely few days.
