Honeymoon!

After a LONG day of travel, we arrived late Wednesday night in our beautiful Jamaican resort. Our honeymoon package allowed us to each get a 30 minute professional massage, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. We also had some credit to go on an excursion, so we took some dune buggies up a windy mountainous road. We reached the peak to find a beautiful summit overlooking the forest and the beach beyond. On the way back down we stopped in a local river and jumped the 15 feet in to enjoy the refreshing water washing the mud off us.

Our room was lovely with a private balcony looking out onto the Caribbean Sea where we frequently enjoyed our delivered breakfast. The resort offered two pools, one with a swim-up bar where we enjoyed many a tasty virgin pina colada and daiquiri. The other pool featured a fancy waterfall which changed colors at night, as well as two hot tubs. Amidst all the relaxing and reading and lounging, we did manage to find time to kayak, learn to sail, snorkel, and hydro bike, all of which were firsts for me. Sunday we went to the famous Dunn's River Falls, which were incredible! They were not the typical waterfalls, but rather were leveled such that you could climb up them. We formed a human chain with our tour group and proceeded to do just that. So much fun! The all-inclusive resort is certainly one we would recommend, though we had to remind ourselves when we got back to reality we actually had to pay for meals when we went out to eat. I think we'll retire there.
