Time with the In-Laws!

Well, after the wedding and the honeymoon, we still had about four weeks till we left for our new life in England. What to do? Spend time with family of course! We're spending about a week and a half with Jon's parents, three days with his grandparents in southern California, three days at a beach house in Seaside Oregon which my neighbors loaned us, and a week and a half at my parents place.

At Jon's place, so far it's been a bit of fun with a bit of business. We went to a WNBA game, the Seattle Storm team made it to the finals, so we went to the first game. They won in the last two seconds of the game!! It was tense and exciting! Afterwards we went laser tagging, which I hadn't done in years. We also spent an afternoon at the Sci-Fi and Experience Music Project Museum, which was pretty sweet to see all those Star Trek and Star Wars memorabilia. Sabbath was exciting since my husband was preaching! He did so well, I was so proud of him. Later we took the dogs to an off leash park which was a lot of fun. Nike actually did really well off the leash, which we were worried about.

The exciting news is that our visa papers are finally in the mail !! After much hassle, a lot of money to rush it, and countless days waiting for things in the mail, we finally mailed our life away. Passports, transcripts, bank statements, loan and scholarship letters, photos, marriage certificates, applications and appendix, and so much more. Hopefully we should get them back quite soon with positive results.
