Wedding Stuff

Well here we are, six days from THE day!! How the summer has flown by !! Strangely, we are not feeling particularl stressed, nervous, scared, or panicked. We are wondering what we are missing.... we'll find out soon enough :) This is the ideal week for the week before the wedding. School is out, and last Friday was the last day of work for both of us, so this week all we have to do is... be :) Well, and any last minute things we think of. But mostly just be. You'll probably hear all about this and with pictures as soon as the wedding is actually over, but regardless, here are the fun things that have been happening. We got a lot of our decorations in the mail, including lanterns and bubbles (instead of rice), toasting glasses, tulle, flower petals, plates, etc. Went to Joann's and got silk flowers and vines for some of the other decorations. We're working on printing our programs. Oh man, the invitations. I forgot about the invitations. Wow, what an experience that was. It pretty much took over our lives for about a week. We made them ourselves, which included cutting oodles of paper, punching holes, tying ribbons, gluing pictures, stuffing envelopes, and addressing them. Wow. We needed some serious hand massages after those days. But they're done and we're really happy with how they turned out! Food has been ordered, by my lovely mother, which I'm very excited about. Lots of fresh fruit, rosemary, sourdough, and semolina bread, and tons of awesome cheeses! MMM. Music is coming along, the string quartet for the ceremony should be good, and we got a really good saxaphonist, Dr. Scott on piano, and our friend Noel on bass to do jazz music for the reception. Should be good. The pictures are from my amazing bridal shower. The girls really knocked themselves out on this. Food was so good, Sarah made an amazing cheesecake, fun games, and lots of pretty things to wear! Friends and family came long distances to share in the fun. And now... 6 days away... The madness actually begins in 4 days. Family will begin arriving Friday, bridesmaids and I will get our nails done, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner (Mongolian BBQ), church Saturday, picnic at the park, bachelor/bachelorette party, Sunday morning brunch, hair appointments, and then it's time!
