Well we had an uneventful flight home, and after a silly five hour layover in Vancouver we finally arrived in Portland, Oregon greeted by our family. We went to Red Robin for dinner for some good old Americana food we'd been missing and an extended birthday celebration. We finally got to see our new car in person, although we were too tired to drive it. We went to Jon's house in Auburn for a week to relax a bit, although we were actually pretty busy with dentist appointments and haircuts and shopping and paperwork for his new job. We were also busy with fun though :) Jon took me to the Seattle Symphony as a late birthday present to see the
Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. We got dressed up all fancy, probably fancier than we should've for a 12:00pm concert with a bunch of elderly people :) We went to the Cheesecake Factory to finish the fancy day. On Sunday we got to go the Seahwaks/Vikings game, and they won! It was a pretty exciting game actually and pretty close, but in the end they won 30-20! We packed up Jon's room on Monday and headed down to Salem to see my parents on Tuesday where we did shopping, shopping and more shopping! We got groceries, pots and pans, plates and glasses, bed sheets and duvets, towels, and other misc. essentials. We also drove over to Bend to see some of our old friends, and on Sunday we went on a fun train ride based on the Christmas movie The Polar Express. We were training around Mt. Hood while they served us hot chocolate and we were visited by elves and Santa. Later that night we met up with Kenneth for a pre-birthday celebration dinner, and we finally packed up everything on Monday and headed to our new home in Oak Harbor, Washington on Tuesday!
