| An awesome debater |
Party day is the best. You can wear jeans and sweatshirts, put your hair in pigtails, eat lots of yummy food, and play games all day. This term's party was even better because we combined all the classes we had at the same time. 7:00AM we had an indoor photo scavenger hunt with all the students, so they had to decipher the clues and then find them around our institute. We also played a getting to know you bingo game. Prizes included excused lab and class absence for next term, something highly valued by some :)

For our 10:00AM party, we went to our nearby park and did similar activities, mixing up all the levels so they got to meet new people. I discovered from this experience that apparently it is very common and expected that when you have food outdoors, you are supposed to share and give your food to any nearby elderly people. We had one older man who was more than happy to partake in this custom, and made off quite well that day with all the food we brought.

For our junior classes, it is technically test day on the last day, but the Korean teacher can decide whether they want us to test the students one last time or just play games with them. I was happy because two out of my three junior classes I ended up just playing pictionary with them the whole time. My B2 class was especially fun that day and sad to leave, since I'd had them for two terms and gotten to know them pretty well.

Finally, for debater and pre-debater, it was also game time. In pre-debater we played taboo for a while, and scattegories for a while. I actually taught the last pre-debater class our instiute will offer, apparently. They decided the kids just aren't ready for that class :) Debater was really fun, I've had most of them for two terms and we get on really well. We played apples to apples, they begged me not to leave them next term and said they loved me, and I told them to be nice to their teacher next term and work just as hard for them as they did for me. All in all it was a good wrap-up to a great term! Hopefully the next one will be just as good!
