Family Time !

Well, as briefly mentioned a while ago, a couple of weeks ago we went chez moi (my house) for the weekend. Lots of good food was eaten, let me tell you. We arrived Friday evening in time for food and catching up and an awesome game of Bible Pictionary. Saturday we made the trek to Bend for church, had lunch, and then went to the neighbors to visit and say hello. We then took the dogs to the park; the puppies had their first walk! We discovered that Fritz did not like it when Jon walked him, but other than that it went well. Back home in time for a pictionary rematch, and after Sabbbath many rounds of Catchphrase took place and, despite my fatigue, we were able to put up a good fight. We also watched the family's favorite old Star Trek movie before calling it a night. The next day we celebrated Mother's Day in the form of French Toast, and had another quick game before heading off on the road again.

Two weekends later, we arrive chez Jon ! Saturday was church, and afterwards our bodies demanded a nap, but we forced them to practice delayed satisfaction when we instead first took ourselves to the Tacoma Flower Conservatory. Then it was naptime :) Three hours later (a typical Sabbath nap for me), we awoke to begin the games. Bible Pictionary was revisited, and we proved ourselves and our skills once more. I was slowly being weaned into the technicalities of the Campbell gaming world, more and more complicated each time. This time it was one called Traders of Genoa, which actually wasn't too bad once we got into the game. The next day we headed to Seattle for some Pike's Market perusal. The flowers were out in full force, and a sweet boy bought me an iris. We then met up with Jon's parents at Greenlake for a cute little French play. I was able to laugh at the jokes they said in French before everyone else and it was a really cute story. Back on our own, we headed towards the city center to meet up with Kenneth and Candice and company, originally at the Folk Festival. Plans changed and we ended up at the Old Spaghetti Factory. The quick visit was nice, and then we made it home in time to finish our game of Traders and have a few rounds of Rook. After getting a tutorial on haircutting from Jon's mom the next morning, we were on our way home once more, ready to conquer our last dead week and finals.
