Recent Fun

Jon and I are fun people. I'll admit it. We are pretty cool. Don't believe me? The other day, we had a picnic. In the middle of winter. French style. We gathered our supplies, good bread, Swiss Cheese (not your typical American Swiss cheese but the good stuff, from Switzerland), Lindt chocolate, and martinellis, and headed to the park. Through a slightly wet ground, and freezing tempatures, and swarms of ducks we hoped didn't notice our bread, we thoroughly enjoyed our simple fare and soaked in the ambiance of the park before our fingers and toes were too cold to feel.
















A few days later, to celebrate the last of our Cambridge applications being sent off, we went to Baskin Robbins where we shared my first ever banana split! SO good! Mint Chocolate Chip, Jamoca Almond Fudge, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice cream, nuts, cherries, hot fudge, and of course, the banana. So worth the wait.


A few days after that, it was our three month anniversary! We had grand plans. We went out to eat, and then planned to go ice-skating, in church clothes. Yup. Unfortunately, the skating rink's hours didn't cooperate with us, so that was postponed. Instead, we checked something else off our "Things to do this year" list. We rode the trolley! Walla Walla is cool enough that it has this old-fashioned looking trolley that takes you all around town for a mere 75 cents. How could we live here for four years and not take advantage of this gem? So we did, and it was awesome. Yup, we're pretty cool.
